Creating and Collecting Black Dolls (4 hours)
Details to be announced. (Space is limited to 6 students per class)
The workshops are designed for both beginning and expert artists, doll makers, doll collectors and doll lovers. You can create a doll for yourself or for someone else. There will be a resource list of places to shop and materials that you can bring to class posted on the class blog next week. Please visit, support and explore these resources to get ideas and inspiration. You can also visit my Pintrest pages for inspiring photos and artwork related to our upcoming projects.

Please pay attention to the red print as there is more than one method of registration. Two of the locations prefer to handle all registrations in house, so please note which ones they are. You can register for the
other locations with PayPal on the home page of the class blog. The class blog is:http://www.innerdivaalteregodolls.blogspot.com.

The workshops are called 'Inner Diva, Alter Ego Doll Workshops' because when you create an art doll, as with any creative project, you give it a little of your personality. To truly create an art doll you should explore and find your most imaginative and creative self. The workshops will be fun so you can indulge a little of your fantasy side.

We will share sweet tea and sweet potato pie on our 1/2 hour snack break. You are also welcomed to bring your own snacks.

Most of the supplies will be provided for you. There will be a "treasure box" of paints, beads, trims, embellishments and fabric pieces. Because this is a project where you will add your own personal touches I ask that you begin collecting things that you like, beads, buttons, old jewelry, small treasures and found objects. Please bring a few small cuts of fabric (1/4 to 1/2 yard pieces or fat quarters) that you think would fit the theme of your doll. A great source for doll fabrics is your own old or discarded clothes. Thrift stores are great too. Sometimes in the departments were they have curtains and tablecloths they will have uncut lengths of fabric. Don't forget to look at the clothing department. The fabrics in old clothes make wonderful doll clothes and it's a great way to recycle.

I can also take charges by phone via 'Square Register'. An email receipt will be sent to you immediately. For phone charges please call 916-396-4672. For all other information call 916-410-9082.
