In celebration of Black History Month, Sisters
Quilting Collective (SQC) hosted its 3rd annual Quilt Exhibit entitled “Our Stories in Quilts: Quilts That Are Inspired by the
Stories in Our Lives,” February 1st through February
15th 2014 at The
Brickhouse Art Gallery, 2837 36th Street,
Sacramento CA. 95817. The exhibit will highlight African-American
Quilters and their Quilts.
The Sister Quilting
Collective (SQC) is organized exclusively for charitable and educational
purposes, more specifically, to bring awareness
of the historical value of African-American quilts, as well as to celebrate and
continue the tradition of quilting.
