Sisters Quilting Collective's (SQC) “Stitching from the Soul”
“A Stitch in Time: The Past, Present and Future”
highlighting African-American Quilters and Quilts. The February 16 program featured
discussions, presentations, mud cloth and book displays. The day featured
presentations by Alice Calhoun, Hand Quilter, Jan Hollins, Textile Designer and
Quilter, Rev. Tammie Denyse and members of Carrie's Touch Support Group, Jeleana T. Johnson
and Kanika Marshall.
